It is rich and glossy, not dull. This is a beautiful utensil in my growing collection of Le Creuset Black Onyx. <br /> <br />The bamboo handle feels just right in the hand. The handle is generously sized at 7 3/4 inches. <br /> <br />Note: The spatula head does not look as pictured in the Amazon photo. It is 2 3/4" long by 1 3/8" wide. The silicone is safe up to 800 degrees Farenheit. The head is permanently attached. (Some Le Creuset silicone utensils have detachable heads for cleaning.) <br /> <br />Perfect for scooping out margarine to use in a skillet, stirring sauteed vegetables, or spreading a dab of mayonnaise.
