Eco-friendly?
My parents aren’t very eco friendly at all and they aren’t too bothered about the environment. However, due to much more awareness nowadays, I’d rather be more eco friendly. What little things can I do to make a difference?
Also we recycle because we are given recyling bags but the bags say not to put in waxed cartons and I know my parents still do.

Think what you can do to decrease your footprint. Turn off lights. Change bulbs. Clean up after your folks so they don’t contaminate the recycle stream. Try and bike if possible, use public transportation whenever feasible. Drink tap water, don’t but expensive bottled water. Buy from companies that make an effort to be green. Support political candidates that support good common sense environmental policies. Donate cash to good nonprofits that meet your criteria as environmental friendly.
One thing you can do is to turn off your computer at night. Turning it off opposed to putting it in hibernate mode will save lots of energy. Riding your bike or taking public transportation will help. Can you encourage your parents to purchase local organic food? Not knowing how old you are makes this a little more difficult to answer. You can ask your parents to purchase only organic personal care items. There is also another really neat item you can get if you use a dish washer called Bag E Wash. This little devices fit into your dishwasher and you can put your used baggies onto the device to re-wash your baggies. Millions of baggies end up in the land-fill every year. Good Luck!
Well i aint very eco friendnly, im like one of thoes gas guzzling trucks out there, i never have been and carbon footpring lol what gets me is, climate change happened over a million years a go its inhevitable it happens and theres nothing we can do to stop it no im afrade they have gone way over the top with this thing.
just another money making scam to make us pay more and to be honest it stinks….
There are really only two things you can do here:
1: Nag
2: Be a good example
I frequently end up re-sorting recycling from my spouse – but I make sure it is very obvious how pissed off I am to be doing it.
You should tell your parents to check out http://www.greenandsave.com — they offer over 50 things that you can do to not only help the environment but also save you money. Good Luck
try approaching your parents and tell them to do what’s right and best for the environment.
also, try telling them the harmful effects of what they are doing.
global warming is serious and everyone knows it.
also ask them questions like why is the world getting hotter now. and tell them.
they might change for the better for the environment.
well, i hope this is good enough.
bye,
Wendy=)
Lots of cities burn trash in confined machines in which turn into energy for the city. So, either way, it would be used up.
Light bulbs always a good start, change them out. Clean out your curb in front of your home. Use just white tissue paper. Use Bio-degradable laundry soap.
Shorter timed showers. Turn off lights.
Less fire place used the better.
